Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team at University Hospitals.

About the Job:

  • The Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) is responsible for delivering high-quality oral hygiene care and preventive services to patients.
  • The RDH serves as the primary educational resource for patients regarding their oral health and care, building trusting relationships with them.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the daily hygiene schedule to ensure timely appointments and meet production goals.
  2. Coordinate patient flow to provide efficient and effective care.
  3. Maintain accurate clinical records and adhere to practice guidelines.
  4. Carefully sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment.
  5. Greet and prepare patients for hygiene appointments.
  6. Assist the dentist during examinations and capture dental radiographs.
  7. Conduct work in compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
  8. Record patient medical and dental histories and vital signs.
  9. Accurately record treatment information in patient files.
  10. Participate in patient satisfaction and office production goal achievement.
  11. Provide oral health education and counseling for patients.
  12. Counsel patients on nutrition and home-care related to oral hygiene.

Qualifications:

  • High School Equivalent/GED required.
  • Graduate of ADA Accredited Dental Hygiene Program required.
  • 2+ years of experience in a clinical setting preferred.
  • Experience in high-volume pediatric specialty hygiene department preferred.
  • Treatment presentation/coordination experience preferred.
  • Nomad Handheld X-ray experience preferred.

Salary:$1,000 Sign on Bonus + Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year.
