Job Description

Dental Support Specialist
The Dental Support Specialist plays a vital role within the Westown Dental team. The individual works closely with our practitioners to ensure exceptional patient care and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide chair-side support during dental procedures, ensuring a positive experience for patients.
• Assist in charting and taking diagnostic x-rays as prescribed by the practitioner.
• Review patient records, providing instructions on postoperative procedures and answering questions.
• Take vital signs (blood pressure and heart rate) before each procedure.
• Collaborate with the clinical team and Practice Manager to complete assigned tasks.
• Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor at all times.
• Organize and manage lab cases, ensuring timely completion and accuracy.
• Perform various office duties as needed.
• Prepare and sanitize the operatory and equipment prior to and between patient visits.
• Ensure adherence to OSHA/Infection Control and Dental Board policies and procedures.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive attitude.
• Proficient in making temporary crowns and bridges.
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Current Radiology Certification is required.
• Commitment to ongoing training and education, including annual OHSA, HIPPA, and infection control requirements.
