Clinical Nurse Specialist

US Oncology, Inc is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at the Southwest Fort Worth Cancer Center. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide exceptional patient care, education, and support to patients and families affected by cancer.
Job Summary:The Clinic Registered Nurse (RN) will provide professional nursing care to patients with cancer, adhering to national and company standards and guidelines for specialty regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care, and a passion for working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:- Assess health status, develop, and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Provide education and support to patients and families, promoting health literacy and self-management skills.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to coordinate patient care, including scheduling consultations, diagnostic tests, and procedures.
- Manage patient medication refill requests, document relevant information in the patient chart, and facilitate communication between patients, families, and healthcare providers.
- Triages patient phone calls, documents relevant information, and provides timely responses to patient inquiries.
- Acts as a resource to LPN/LVNs and medical assistants, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education, BSN preferred.
- Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, with a strong background in oncology or hematology.
- Current RN state license with the State Board of Nursing in practicing state.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
