Job SummaryWe are seeking a Senior Director of Operations to lead our manufacturing facilities and drive value creation throughout the organization. This role will be responsible for employee safety, quality, environmental, schedule attainment, raw material/package inventory, cost, and innovation. The ideal candidate will have proven leadership skills, effective management practices, and a passion for continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure all manufacturing operations comply with safety, quality, and GMP requirements.
- Partner with Food Safety Quality departments to ensure compliance with all quality SOP's and maintain audit-ready status.
- Establish and communicate a vision, purpose, and strategic direction for manufacturing operations.
- Champion and drive Marzetti Operational Excellence, process standardization, and best practices.
- Develop standards, establish expectations, and maintain technical knowledge of plant manufacturing.
- Ensure manufacturing objectives and productivity commitments are achieved through each facility.
- Coordinate with cross-functional business teams to identify and implement enhancements to products and systems.
- Develop cost-effective control systems over capital expenditures and assets.
- Monitor system-wide performance for compliance to production, quality, and safety.
- 10+ years of plant/general management experience in a food-related manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with SAP systems.
- Solid knowledge of company operations and objectives.
- Background in manufacturing methods, quality control, and process improvement.
- Manufacturing knowledge and understanding of yields, plant efficiencies, and operations.
- Solid understanding of OSHA, USDA, and Food Safety regulations.
