Job Title: Senior Safety Director

Strata Solar LLC is seeking a highly experienced Senior Safety Director to lead our safety initiatives and ensure a world-class safety culture within our organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement safety strategies to minimize risk and ensure compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Lead efforts to enhance the safety culture within the organization, fostering a mindset of safety as a core value.
  • Champion leading indicator initiatives, such as Safety Observations and Corrective Action Completion.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Train and mentor safety professionals and operations leadership on methods for resolving at-risk behaviors or noncompliance situations.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of ten (10) years of Health and Safety Construction, Electrical Utility, Heavy Industrial/Mechanical in a leadership position or other equivalent experience.
  • Subject matter expert with local, state, and federal codes as they apply to all aspects of construction.
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate Health and Safety-related risks.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and with a team with attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.

Education/Certifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in occupational health & safety or related technical discipline.
  • BCSP, CHST, CSP or other recognized certification.

Skills/Abilities:

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including tact and diplomacy.
  • Ability to lead multiple objectives (areas) and delegate/reassign priorities as needed.
  • Ability to interact, communicate, lead, and influence effectively at all levels and across diverse cultures.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Demonstrated ability to use standard office software programs, including spreadsheets, databases, word processing, and audiovisual presentations.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:

  • Ability to walk and perform site inspections periodically, in various environmental conditions (cold, heat, wind, and various forms of precipitation).
  • Perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, standing, and walking significant distances.
