Description

• Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance programs and policies to ensure compliance with food safety regulations and industry standards.

• Conduct regular audits and inspections of production processes, facilities, and products to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to quality standards.

• Collaborate with production, R&D, and supply chain teams to establish and monitor quality metrics and performance indicators.

• Lead investigations into quality issues, non-conformances, and customer complaints, implementing corrective and preventive actions as necessary.

• Train and mentor staff on quality assurance practices, food safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.

• Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to food quality and safety.

• Prepare and present quality reports to senior management, highlighting key findings, trends, and recommendations for improvement.

• Manage relationships with external auditors, regulatory agencies, and certification bodies

Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field.

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in quality assurance within the food processing industry.

• Strong knowledge of food safety regulations (e.g., FDA, USDA, HACCP, SQF) and quality management systems.

• Proven experience in conducting audits, inspections, and investigations.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.

• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

• Proficient in quality management software and tools.
