We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Patient Access Representative to join our team at Providence Health & Services. As a Patient Access Representative, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient registration and pre-registration of patients, as well as verifying insurance coverage and benefits.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Register and pre-register patients in a timely and accurate manner
- Verify insurance coverage and benefits to ensure accurate billing
- Obtain pre-certification, referral, or authorizations as needed
- Collect up-front revenue due the facility
- Provide quality customer service to internal and external customers
**Requirements:**
- 6 months of customer service experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- General office experience
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- National Certification of CHAA
