Phlebotomist Job Description

At Providence Health & Services, we are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist to join our team at Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland, WA.

Job Summary

Under the general supervision of the Phlebotomy Supervisor, the Phlebotomist will perform a variety of functions related to specimen collection, processing, data entry, and reporting. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Collect blood samples from patients using venous or capillary access
  • Process and label specimens for laboratory testing
  • Enter data into the laboratory information system
  • Retrieve lab results for physicians or their representatives
  • Manage confidential information and documents
  • Sort and file reports
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a formal Phlebotomy Training Program
  • Washington Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification
  • National Medical Assistant Certification
  • One year of customer service experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Healthcare experience
