About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer III to join our team at Universal Avionics. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and testing electronic and opto-mechanical systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop mechanical systems for avionics equipment
  • Perform thermal and structural analyses to support design approach
  • Modify existing designs based on engineering and manufacturing inputs
  • Provide sustaining support to engineering, manufacturing, and procurement personnel
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in electronics design
  • Working knowledge of PCB assemblies, machining/mill operations, sheet metal design/fabrication, and analysis techniques
  • Thermal and structural finite element analysis experience
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 or AS9100 environment
  • 5+ years of experience working in an integrated project team environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
