Position Summary:

The primary role of the Construction Team Associate is to support carpenters and fellow crew members in the installation or assembly of agricultural and commercial building systems. This encompasses various aspects of construction, including site preparation, concrete work, masonry, metalwork, woodworking, thermal and moisture protection, installation of doors and windows, and finishing touches.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the installation or assembly of agricultural and commercial building systems.
  • Adhere to and promote the safety culture of Fox Cities Builders, including the proper use of personal protective equipment.
  • Conduct demolition tasks in designated areas while respecting equipment and safety protocols.
  • Maintain a clean and professional appearance of the project site on a daily basis.
  • Ensure that vehicles and equipment are cleaned and maintained after use.
  • Keep tools and equipment in optimal condition, ensuring all safety features are operational during use.
  • Exhibit flexibility in work hours, adapting to job scheduling and weather conditions.
  • Utilize and inspect safety equipment and personal protective gear before use.
  • Promote the safety of all individuals on the job site each day.
  • Perform tasks safely and refrain from undertaking responsibilities without proper training.
  • Be familiar with the location of safety equipment and emergency procedures at the job site.
  • Participate in all mandatory safety training sessions and toolbox discussions.
  • Willingness to travel as required for job assignments.
  • Comply with all company and client policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Conduct oneself in a professional manner, reflecting the core values of Fox Cities Builders.
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proficient with tools used across various trades.
  • Understanding of the construction industry and subcontractor roles.
  • Ability to accurately follow directions from the Foreman and Superintendent within specified timeframes.
  • Mechanical aptitude and capability to meet the physical demands of the role.
  • Commitment to customer service and safety.
  • Proficient in identifying and resolving potential issues proactively.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Basic communication skills in English.
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Capable of working in diverse weather conditions, including extreme temperatures and precipitation.

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Valid Driver's License is mandatory.
  • General knowledge of the construction sector is required.
  • Preferred: At least 2 years of experience in the construction field.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work at heights of 30 feet or more and lift weights exceeding 75 pounds.
  • Physical capability to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push, pull, and stand to operate heavy machinery.
  • Must be able to climb ladders and stairs as necessary.
  • Ability to walk on uneven, wet, or slippery surfaces.
  • Willingness to work in all weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, or snow.
  • Ability to travel to various job sites for regular safety inspections.
