The Retail Sales Specialist plays a crucial role in assisting Management to foster a customer-centric and product-oriented sales environment, where our core values and guiding principles are integral to all store operations. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Sales Performance:
- Achieves company sales targets by employing effective sales techniques and sharing product knowledge with customers; assists in merchandise selection or locating items based on customer preferences.
- Stays informed about current promotions and sales; upholds pricing and visual merchandising standards.
- Maintains high standards in merchandise handling, presentation, loss prevention, and other duties as assigned by Management.
- Contributes to visual merchandising initiatives, including monthly store setups and area maintenance.
Customer Service Excellence:
- Exemplifies and promotes the Most Amazing Personal Service (MAPS) principles, ensuring a seamless omni-channel experience.
- Addresses customer concerns promptly and effectively.
- Facilitates a quick and efficient checkout process, remaining knowledgeable about payment policies, coupon acceptance, returns, exchanges, security protocols, and other operational guidelines.
- Encourages additional purchases at checkout, including gift card sales.
- Enlists clients in the rewards program.
- Builds and nurtures a loyal customer base through personalized service and wardrobe consultations.
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of product fit and style offerings both in-store and online.
- Ensures consistent communication with clients through the customer book.
Operational Efficiency:
- Assists in replenishment tasks to keep the store well-stocked and visually appealing.
- Supports order fulfillment processes.
- Participates in visual merchandising tasks, including floor layouts, window displays, and signage placement as directed.
- Helps maintain the cleanliness and organization of the boutique.
Team Collaboration and Development:
- Encourages a collaborative and inclusive approach to problem-solving.
- Actively seeks personal development opportunities and welcomes constructive feedback.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Prior retail or sales experience is preferred.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Able to adapt to technology utilized by the company.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, associates, and management.
- Regular attendance is essential to ensure adequate coverage for company objectives. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays is required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Frequent walking and standing throughout an 8-hour shift.
- Occasional lifting of up to 50 lbs. (1-33% of an 8-hour shift).
- Regular climbing (34%-66% of an 8-hour shift).
This position may be available across various brands, and specific duties may differ from one brand to another.
