Job Overview:
The Boeing Company is seeking an Aerospace Tube Fabrication Specialist to become an integral part of our team. This role is essential in supporting the Boeing Global Services (BGS) division.

Position Details:
This position requires a commitment to working onsite at our facility. The selected candidate will engage in the manufacturing and assembly of various tube types utilized in aircraft systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Tube Cutting and Shaping:
    Utilize specialized machinery and tools to accurately cut and shape metal tubes according to precise specifications and blueprints. Techniques may include sawing, shearing, and other cutting methods.
  2. Tube Bending:
    Employ bending machines and fixtures to bend tubes to specified angles and dimensions. A thorough understanding of various bending techniques and materials, including aluminum, titanium, and stainless steel, is essential.
  3. Quality Assurance:
    Conduct inspections of tubes for defects, measure dimensions, and perform tests to ensure compliance with quality standards. Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers.
  4. Documentation:
    Maintain accurate records of work, including measurements, materials used, and any issues encountered. This documentation is crucial for quality control and traceability.
  5. Team Collaboration:
    Work collaboratively with engineers, designers, and fellow fabricators to ensure efficient production processes. Communicate challenges and suggestions for improvement to supervisors.

Qualifications:
Basic Requirements:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in manual aircraft tubing fabrication.
- Proficient in operating manual milling and lathe machines.
- Availability to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in manual tube fabrication for aircraft.
- Background in machine shop operations.
- Familiarity with aircraft ship side processes.

Education:
A high school diploma or GED, along with typically 5+ years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

Work Environment:
This position does not offer relocation assistance. Candidates should reside in the immediate area or be prepared to relocate at their own expense.
