Job Title: Faculty - Cosmetology (adjunct)

We are seeking a qualified Adjunct Cosmetology Instructor to teach courses as needed on a semester basis.

Job Summary:

The Cosmetology Instructor will be responsible for conducting assigned day and/or evening classes of instruction. The instructor will participate in maintaining the curriculum in a comprehensive, current, and employer-responsive manner while observing all infection control and regulatory board expectations.

Responsibilities:
  • Successfully prepare, manage, and deliver course content in order to achieve course objectives, accommodate diverse learning styles, and meet student learning outcomes.
  • Actively engage students and provide prompt feedback in an objective, respectful, and effective manner.
  • Communicate and follow course syllabus content in accordance with directions provided and administrative guidance.
  • Work collaboratively with the College's support services to identify and address the students' academic support needs.
  • Utilize College technology for the delivery of instruction and completion of operational processes.
  • Meet deadlines, including maintaining and submitting accurate class records, employee records/requests, and other assigned tasks.
  • Ensure laboratories are appropriately stocked with required supplies and equipment is in safe operating order.
  • Facilitate a positive, student-centered, and professional environment among students, faculty, and staff.
Requirements:
  • NC Cosmetology License
  • NC Cosmetology Instructor License
  • Associate Degree
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in the Cosmetology field
