Becoming a part of Mount Auburn Hospital team as a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and collaborating with the CareTeam to ensure that patients receive skilled nursing care tailored to their individual needs.

Job Overview

In this role, you will work closely with multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients. Your primary responsibilities will include assessing patients' needs, planning care, and coordinating assignments for team members. You will also participate in team meetings, establish relationships with staff, and evaluate outcomes of patient care.

You will administer medication according to nursing/hospital/unit policy/procedure without errors 100% of the time. Additionally, you will provide direct patient care as a member of the CareTeam, providing competent nursing care based on scientific principles and meeting policy requirements.

Your role will also involve working with the CareTeam to manage patients' stays in the hospital based on anticipated length of stay. Every patient will have a targeted length of stay and a care plan that reflects that target. You will collaborate with nurse coordinators, case managers, physicians, and other departments to ensure appropriate LOS and discharge planning.

The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of the nursing process, theories, and clinical expertise related to patient care, acquired through completion of a nursing training program at an NLN accredited school of nursing. A current registration in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is also required.

This position requires strong interpersonal skills to interact with patients, families, and a multidisciplinary team of health-care personnel to resolve complex problems. The ability to acquire technical knowledge related to assigned area through training programs and continuing education is also essential.

Maintaining up-to-date technical knowledge and staying current with best practices in patient care will enable you to excel in this role.
