Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Emergency Response Coordinator to join our team at Central EMS. As an integral part of our dispatch operations, you will be responsible for receiving and processing emergency calls, providing critical assistance to patients in need, and coordinating the deployment of our resources.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive and process emergency calls from the public, prioritizing situations based on severity and urgency.
  • Coordinate the deployment of ambulances, fire departments, and other emergency resources to ensure timely and effective response to emergencies.
  • Train new dispatchers and provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure seamless integration into our team.
  • Maintain accurate records and data entry, utilizing computer-aided dispatch (CAD) systems to track incidents and resource deployment.
  • Collaborate with surrounding agencies and law enforcement to facilitate coordination and information sharing.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's degree or higher preferred.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in emergency dispatch or related field.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and make sound decisions in high-stress situations.
  • Proficiency in CAD systems and basic computer software applications.

Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience.
