We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinary Technician or Assistant to join our team at Vets Pets. As an integral part of our emergency veterinary hospital, you will play a vital role in providing top-notch care to our patients and their owners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the veterinary team in providing emergency care to patients, including patient restraint, vital sign measurement, and comfort measures.
  • Prepare and organize equipment, supplies, and medications for emergency procedures and treatments.
  • Maintain a clean and organized emergency treatment area, adhering to high standards of hygiene and safety.
  • Support the veterinary team in diagnostic procedures, treatments, and patient care, under close supervision.
  • Document patient information, treatments, and observations accurately and efficiently.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to pet owners, addressing their concerns and queries in a professional and empathetic manner.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a veterinary emergency or ICU setting.
  • Strong understanding of veterinary emergency procedures and patient handling.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on teamwork and collaboration.
  • Demonstrated care and empathy for animals, with the ability to provide comfort and reassurance in stressful situations.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
