About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Ochsner Clinic Foundation. As a key member of our primary care team, you will provide high-quality patient care, work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team, and contribute to the development of our clinical programs.

Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive primary care to patients, including health promotion, disease prevention, and management of acute and chronic conditions.
  • Collaborate with our team of physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans, taking into account patient preferences, values, and goals.
  • Conduct thorough physical exams, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and prescribe medications as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical guidelines, research, and best practices in primary care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of our clinical programs.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in nursing from an accredited program.
  • Current licensure as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of practice.
  • Family Nurse Practitioner or Adult-Geriatric Nurse Practitioner certification from a recognized accrediting agency.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Eligibility for prescriptive authority in the state of practice.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
