Unit Overview:
The Fourth Floor is designated as a specialized medical oncology unit, equipped to provide comprehensive care to patients undergoing treatment.
Role Overview:
The Nursing Assistant is tasked with delivering essential patient care under the guidance of a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse. This role is crucial in maintaining the quality of care and support for our patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with daily living activities and ensure patient comfort.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the nursing staff.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients.
- Support nursing staff in various clinical tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
Certification: Current CPR certification is required.
Experience: Candidates must meet at least one of the following:
- One year of experience as a nursing assistant.
- Completion of a nursing assistant training program.
- Current nursing assistant certification (CNA).
- Participation in the MRMC nursing assistant training program.
Compensation:
Milford Fire Department offers competitive differentials for various shifts: $3.50 hourly for evenings, $4.75 hourly for nights, and $2.75 hourly for weekends, in accordance with hospital policy.
