Position Overview

The Director of Residential Services plays a pivotal role in overseeing the operations of the Florida Sheriff Youth Ranches' residential programs across multiple locations. This leadership position is essential for ensuring the effective delivery of services and support to youth in care.

Reporting directly to the Vice President of Programs, the Director is tasked with managing residential services and providing guidance to program staff in the areas of development, administration, and coordination of services.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Oversee and provide strategic consultation for the management and supervision of residential programs and facilities.
  2. Recruit, train, and supervise Program Directors, Campus Life Director, and Clinical Director; evaluate performance and address any issues that arise.
  3. Deliver risk management training for new hires across all residential programs, ensuring compliance with standards set by relevant agencies.
  4. Collaborate with the Vice President of Programs and staff to ensure adherence to licensing, accreditation, and contractual obligations.
  5. Facilitate communication and relationships between various programs and services.
  6. Assist in the development of new programs or modifications to existing services in partnership with program staff.
  7. Maintain collaborative relationships with local and regional agencies, including DCF and Medicaid.
  8. Work with the Quality Improvement Director to create and implement policies, procedures, and training materials.
  9. Provide financial oversight, ensuring that budgets and expenditures are managed effectively to maximize resources.
  10. Ensure that clinical and non-clinical documentation is accurately maintained and completed in a timely manner.
  11. Support donor relations by ensuring stakeholders are engaged and welcomed.
  12. Address problem areas and undertake special projects as directed by the Executive Vice President.
  13. Build relationships with consulting psychiatrists to ensure high-quality service delivery.

Qualifications

A Master's degree in a relevant human services field from an accredited institution is required, along with a minimum of seven years of experience in social services, including at least five years in a supervisory or administrative role. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in managing multi-service, multi-site agencies with residential components.

Job Type: Full-time

Compensation: $60,000 Annually

Physical Requirements
