Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Mil/Aerospace Division in North Reading, MA. This individual will be responsible for designing, documenting, and releasing cables, ITA's, and custom test fixtures for our Military and Aerospace customers.

Responsibilities
  • Design and analyze mechanical systems, including cables, ITA's, and custom test fixtures
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including drawings and specifications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure design solutions meet customer needs
  • Support new product development and maintenance of legacy products
  • Manage project priorities and lead development teams in key areas such as communication, technical guidance, trade-off analysis, project scheduling, and change management
Requirements
  • B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field with a minimum 5 years of experience in electro-mechanical design
  • Proficiency in SOLIDWORKS 2018 or higher and PDM
  • Knowledge of metal fabrication, machining, and fastening methods
  • Ability to generate mechanical design and documentation of components and assemblies
  • Fluency in IPC/WHMA-A-620: Requirements and Acceptance for Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies
Preferred Qualifications
  • Initiative, motivation, and drive to bring highly integrated and complex products to market
  • Disciplined and methodical engineering rigor and careful attention to detail
  • Leadership and communication skills for effective influence with customers, internal teammates, and suppliers
