Job Summary:

Cone Health is seeking a Certified Genetic Counselor to join our team. As a Genetic Counselor, you will work with patients and families to assess their risk for inherited conditions and provide support in making decisions based on genetic test results. This is a full-time role with 24 hours per week in the cancer genetic program at Cone Health Cancer Center and 16 hours per week within the UNCG genetic counseling program.

Responsibilities:

- Provide genetic counseling services by assessing, planning, and managing medical, psychological, and social problems for a variety of indications.
- Work effectively within a team or autonomously to help achieve patient and departmental metrics.
- Create, plan, and implement educational opportunities for community members and healthcare professionals.
- Model clinical expectations while supervising and training genetic counseling graduate students, other professional students, and interested genetic counseling applicants.

Qualifications:

- Master's Degree in Genetic Counseling
- At least 2 years of experience in Genetic Counseling
- Genetic Counseling Board certification
