Job SummaryThe Nurse Manager is a leadership position responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, implementing, and evaluating the management, administrative operations, and clinical practice activities within one or more areas on a 24-hour basis. A key priority is to utilize principles of service excellence to achieve goals on staff development, staff satisfaction, and staff retention.
The Manager is committed to creating a work environment that fosters pride, teamwork, and continuous learning, ensuring the ability to meet patient needs. The Manager must have knowledge of psychiatric services, standards, de-escalation, and related nursing standards, as well as awareness of the changing healthcare environment locally and nationwide.
Responsibilities- Develop and implement strategies to improve patient care services, ensuring a seamless, integrated system of care that is high value, cost-effective, and customer-focused.
- Lead, mentor, coach, and educate others as needed to accomplish projects, utilizing polished communication and presentation skills.
- Collaborate with healthcare experts to pioneer creative solutions to address urgent population health needs.
- Ensure compliance with psychiatric services standards, de-escalation techniques, and related nursing standards.
- Masters in Nursing required.
- 3 years related experience, supervisory experience, and psychiatric experience required.
- Experience with adult, geriatric, and child populations.
- Valid NJ RN License.
- BLS (Basic Life Support).
