Position Summary: As a Senior Financial Accountant at Holden Farms, you will be an essential member of our Accounting team. Your role will encompass managing the complete accounting cycle, preparing journal entries and variance analyses, conducting account reconciliations, addressing discrepancies, and engaging in special projects. Additionally, you will oversee treasury functions, including daily cash management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the complete accounting cycle and month-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate transaction recording.
  • Prepare journal entries for all accounting-related functions (Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, cash, payroll, fixed assets, inventory, prepaids, intercompany transactions, month-end accruals, etc.).
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts in accordance with corporate policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Controller to investigate and clarify variances against forecasts and budgets.
  • Oversee and report on treasury activities.
  • Ensure compliance of company accounting practices with generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Assist with year-end audits and fulfill requests from external auditors.
  • Support management with various ad hoc projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
  • CPA or CMA certification preferred.
  • Familiarity with Great Plains software is advantageous.
  • Experience in preparing financial statements and reports.
  • Knowledge of Power BI or similar software is a plus.
