Senior Property Accountant Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Property Accountant to join our team in Houston. The ideal candidate will have 3+ years of commercial real estate property accounting experience and be proficient in Yardi and/or MRI.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Generate monthly and quarterly financials for assigned properties.
  • Prepare property reconciliations and budgets, including variance explanations.
  • Work directly with tenants on refunds and collections.
  • Prepare journal entries and track payments for capital expenditures.
  • Maintain schedules for amortization, tenant improvements, and escrows.
  • Collaborate with acquisitions and legal teams to analyze lease obligations.
Requirements:
  • 3+ years of commercial real estate property accounting experience.
  • Proficiency with Yardi and/or MRI.
  • Experience with development draws and construction finance agreements.
  • Accounting/Finance degree strongly preferred.

Compensation: $80,000.00 to $100,000.00 per year
