Position Overview

Salary: $38,000 - $40,000

The Program Coordinator is accountable for the comprehensive management of initiatives and the development of partnerships at designated educational locations. Utilizing the Communities In Schools (CIS) Model, the Coordinator will assess and identify the requirements of at-risk youth while orchestrating tiered interventions and support systems for the entire student body.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure effective execution of the CIS Model and TQS Student Support Standards.
  • Collaborate with educational staff to evaluate, identify, and prioritize student needs.
  • Lead a School Support team responsible for planning and overseeing all CIS operations at the educational site.
  • Conduct an annual needs assessment using diverse data sources to establish the foundation for the School Support Plan.
  • Develop a comprehensive School Support Plan that includes Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 interventions and supports.
  • Provide case management for a minimum of 50 identified students, delivering evidence-based interventions tailored to student and school needs.
  • Systematically collect, enter, and report student data on a regular basis.
  • Monitor and adjust progress towards the goals outlined in the School Support Plan and the individual progress of students at least quarterly.
  • Engage with parents or legal guardians of identified case-managed students.
  • Deliver timely reports containing data and program information to the direct supervisor.
  • Review ABC goals with case-managed students on a monthly basis.
  • Promote the CIS mission, vision, and initiatives within the community as required.
  • Recruit, train, and manage community volunteers as necessary.
  • Continuously evaluate community partners to ensure alignment with student needs.
  • Provide leadership in securing community resources and partnerships that enhance students' physical and academic well-being.
  • Participate in ongoing personal and professional development, including CISSC and National CIS training.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to ensure the successful operation of programs.
  • Ability to see, hear, speak, and travel.
  • Must be able to lift 20 pounds.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in education, counseling, social work, social services, or a related field.
  • Two years of relevant work experience.
  • Valid driver's license and insurance.
  • Strong sensitivity to the needs of children, youth, and their families.
  • Proficiency in office technology systems, including spreadsheet development, word processing, email, and CISDM.
  • Previous experience with student data or case management systems is highly preferred.
