Aftercare Educator

Charleston Collegiate School, a prestigious independent day school, is seeking a dedicated and nurturing Aftercare Teacher to join our team.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a deep understanding of developmentally appropriate activities, and a passion for working with children. They will also demonstrate a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.

• Provide a safe and supportive environment for children to explore their interests and develop social skills.
• Collaborate with parents and guardians to ensure seamless transitions and effective communication.
• Design and implement engaging activities that cater to the diverse needs of lower and middle school students.
• Monitor and care for children during free-play situations, promoting their independence and well-being.
• Lead small and large group activities, fostering a sense of community and teamwork.

• A High School Diploma is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Knowledge of Conscious Discipline is a plus, but not necessary.
