Primary Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership:
    • Direct and manage a team of electricians and apprentices on commercial projects.
    • Delegate tasks, oversee progress, and guarantee that all work meets high-quality standards.
    • Provide guidance and training to enhance the skills and productivity of team members.
    • Conduct regular safety briefings and uphold all safety measures and regulations.
  • Project Coordination:
    • Analyze project specifications, blueprints, and plans to ensure accurate execution of electrical tasks.
    • Collaborate with project managers and other trades to effectively schedule and organize work.
    • Monitor project timelines, manage inventory, and ensure timely completion of tasks.
    • Identify and resolve on-site issues to prevent project delays.
  • Quality Assurance:
    • Review electrical work to ensure compliance with local, state, and national regulations.
    • Conduct quality assessments on all installations and repairs to align with company and industry standards.

  • Documentation and Communication:
    • Keep detailed records of labor, materials, and completed work.
    • Generate daily and weekly reports regarding project status, progress, and challenges.
    • Maintain regular communication with project managers and clients to provide updates and address any inquiries.
  • Client Engagement:
    • Act as the main point of contact for clients on-site.
    • Respond to client inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner.
    • Ensure client satisfaction through high-quality work and a well-maintained job site.
Qualifications:
  • Experience:
    • At least 5 years of experience in commercial electrical work.
    • Prior experience in a supervisory or foreman capacity is essential.
  • Education:
    • High school diploma or GED is required.
    • Completion of a formal electrical apprenticeship program or equivalent training is preferred.
  • Licensing:
    • Possession of a valid Journeyman or Master Electrician license.
    • OSHA certification is advantageous.
  • Skills:
    • In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, blueprints, and construction documentation.
    • Strong leadership and communication abilities.
    • Capability to perform effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
    • Proficiency in utilizing electrical tools, equipment, and testing instruments.
    • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Work Environment:
  • Work primarily occurs on commercial construction sites, which may involve exposure to various weather conditions, noise, and physical hazards.
  • Ability to lift heavy materials, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces is required.
