Position Overview

The Campus President acts as the primary representative of the College within the campus and the broader community, taking charge of initiatives that enhance the vibrancy, growth, and economic health of the region. Key responsibilities encompass:

(1) Sector Development,

(2) Community Engagement, and

(3) Campus Leadership.

The College is adopting a forward-thinking strategy for employer collaboration, with Campus Presidents leading sector-specific initiatives to meet regional demands. As the institution evolves and adds value to our students, community, and stakeholders, the Campus President will utilize expertise in sector development to foster student success by engaging with one or more of our targeted industry sectors:

1. Healthcare

2. Business, Professional & Financial Services

3. Aerospace

4. Manufacturing

5. Information Technology

6. Arts & Entertainment

7. Transportation & Logistics

8. Construction

The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader, dedicated to breaking down economic barriers for the benefit of our stakeholders, with a strong focus on student-centered initiatives.

  • A comprehensive understanding of the student demographic to be served, informed by extensive stakeholder input.
  • Proven leadership capabilities that align and implement the strategic priorities of the College.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Strong analytical skills with the capacity to interpret data for informed decision-making.
  • Proficiency in managing multiple projects and priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Experience in budget management.
  • Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Capability to operate within a matrix structure and influence others without direct authority.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead sector engagement initiatives for the region.
  • Develop and implement outreach strategies that promote the College's growth in targeted areas.
  • Identify community prospects and key decision-makers regarding educational and training programs.
  • Explore opportunities for the College to offer educational programs and connect students with career pathways.
  • Forge strong partnerships with community and business leaders to address challenges and develop solutions that support the College and its students.
  • Stay informed on industry trends to innovate and create effective solutions that yield positive outcomes for the College and its stakeholders.
  • Craft and deliver impactful messaging that resonates with target audiences, including students and community members.
  • Maintain an active schedule of field visits to enhance relationships and position the College as a preferred provider of education and training.
  • Oversee and evaluate active contracts and agreements to ensure customer satisfaction and proactive renewals.
  • Collaborate with the College's Legal and Finance teams to review and recommend contract language for new partnerships.
  • Foster a collaborative leadership approach that prioritizes the needs of students, employers, and the community.
  • Serve as the public representative of the College in the local community.
  • Participate in outreach activities that expand partnerships and resources for current and future students.
  • Engage with community organizations, chambers of commerce, and civic groups.
  • Advocate for the campus and actively participate in campus events.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance the College's strategic initiatives.
  • Annually develop and manage a prospect outreach plan that aligns with established goals.
  • Provide leadership at the campus level, ensuring alignment of key initiatives and employee engagement programs.
  • Act as a change agent within the campus, aligning with system initiatives and goals.
  • Inspire a values-driven campus culture that supports the College's mission and strategic priorities.
  • Model effective communication that promotes transparency and respect.
  • Complete required professional development training hours annually.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements

Standard office environment with normal physical job functions. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with physical challenges to perform essential duties.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's degree (required) or doctorate (preferred), verified by official transcripts.
  • Over 15 years of management experience, including at least three years in upper-level executive roles in market development or relevant sectors.
  • Subject matter expertise in one of the defined industry sectors.
  • Bilingual or multilingual capabilities preferred.
