KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Addresses inquiries from students concerning financial aid and scholarship opportunities; organizes appointments and directs individuals to the relevant departments.
  • Delivers financial aid information to students and their families; clarifies aid programs and application processes.
  • Ensures the accuracy of submitted documents, checks for data consistency, and maintains comprehensive records.
  • Oversees the scanning and indexing of documents; upholds the record retention policy.
  • Tracks metrics related to office visits; performs clerical tasks and supports daily office functions.
  • Aids in the recruitment and supervision of student employees; updates financial aid documentation.
  • Contributes to enrollment management initiatives and participates in training sessions.
  • Executes additional duties as required.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • High School Diploma/GED; completion of 2 years of college coursework or an Associate's Degree is preferred.
  • Two years of experience in financial aid or a related field within higher education is preferred.
  • Familiarity with relevant software applications is advantageous.
  • Must successfully pass and maintain a favorable background check.
  • A valid driver's license and personal injury insurance are required.
  • Availability to work extended hours or weekends may be necessary.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and virtual meeting tools is essential.
  • Exceptional communication and customer service skills are required.
  • Ability to adhere to regulations regarding student loan disbursement.
  • Capacity to collaborate effectively in a dynamic environment.
  • Bilingual candidates are preferred.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • This position is based in an office environment within a university campus.
  • The employee will be required to sit, walk, stand, talk, and hear; repetitive hand use is necessary.
  • Specific vision capabilities are required; the ability to exchange accurate information is essential.
  • Frequent operation of a computer and other office equipment is expected.

The employee must be capable of fulfilling the physical demands outlined.
