Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Surgical Technologist II to join our team at Grosse Pointe Hospital. As a key member of our surgical team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and prepare the surgical suite, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for patients and staff.
  • Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during procedures, handling instruments and equipment with precision and care.
  • Evaluate changing conditions during surgeries and make appropriate responses to ensure patient safety.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest surgical procedures and protocols, maintaining a high level of knowledge and expertise.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate degree or equivalent in Surgical Technology or a related field preferred.
  • Completion of an accredited School of Surgical Technology or equivalent training program required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of Surgical Technologist experience preferred.
  • AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire required.
Work Environment

This is a full-time position with a rotating schedule, including variable weekends. The successful candidate will be based at Grosse Pointe Hospital, a Magnet-designated facility with a reputation for excellence in patient care.
