Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our Family Medicine team. As an LVN, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Contact patients and guarantors to inform them of estimated deductibles, co-pays, and co-insurance due prior to surgery.
  • Responsible for contacting patients and guarantors as far in advance as possible.
  • Make a minimum of 40-50 calls per day to patients and guarantors.
  • Record all contacts with patients and responsible parties in the Patient Accounting System (PAS), including payment arrangements and payments received.
  • Provide superior customer service skills and problem-solving abilities to answer patient inquiries regarding billing.
  • Have a thorough working knowledge of all payment options, including Care Credit and SurgiCARES.
  • Have a thorough working knowledge of all managed care contracts.
  • Write up adjustment and refund forms as indicated by documentation and submit to the Business Office Manager (BOM) and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for approval.
Requirements
  • High School graduate or equivalency.
  • Prefer experience with PAS, handling patient benefits, and the collection of claims in a healthcare system setting.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
