Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Adult Inpatient Psychiatrist to join our team at NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln. As a key member of our interdisciplinary treatment team, you will provide psychiatric management for adults, age 18 and up, in an acute inpatient setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement treatment plans in accordance with New York State Office of Mental Health and other regulations.
  • Collaborate with consultants as indicated by patient needs.
  • Provide clinical supervision to psychiatry residents and medical students.
  • Work with the interdisciplinary treatment team to manage complex cases.
  • Participate in didactic training programs for psychiatric residents, medical students, psychology interns, and other trainees.
  • Contribute to quality assurance and performance improvement activities.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited medical school (MD/DO).
  • Hold New York State license and DEA registration.
  • ACGME accredited residency in Psychiatry.
  • ABPN certification (or eligibility if within five years of graduation) in Psychiatry.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Superior clinical, interpersonal, communication, and team-building skills.
  • Ability to coordinate with multiple disciplines in the evaluation and care of patients.
  • Spanish language skills are a plus.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Annual Base Salary: $236,900* (board eligible); $247,200* (board certified) based on 40-hour work week.
  • Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.
  • Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $104,000.
  • Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year's average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.
  • 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits).
  • Annual Continuing Medical Education (CME) Reimbursement.
  • Generous Annual Paid Time Off (PTO): Vacation, Sick, Holiday, and CME days.
