Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Imaging Assistant to join our team at CharterCARE Health Partners. As an Imaging Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our radiology department by assisting with the performance of exams, interacting with patients, and maintaining a safe and clean environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist CT technologists with exam procedures, including patient positioning, retrieving films and supplies, and transporting patients as needed.
• Obtain patient information, screen patients for contrast reactions, allergies, pacemakers, or metal implants, and confirm with ordering physicians or nursing floors that proper screening or lab forms have been completed.
• Coordinate patient scheduling for in-patient exams, assist with technical and quality control at the beginning and end of shifts, and review patient records prior to and after exams to ensure all required data is available for image interpretation.
• Transport patients to nursing floors and other departments within the hospital, order exams and track patients in the hospital's RIS, and coordinate lab work with other departments.
• Maintain quality assurance, safety, environmental, and infection control in accordance with established hospital policies and procedures.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent required; CNA certification preferred.
• Current RI CNA license and CPR certification required.
• 1 year experience as a CNA; computer experience and medical terminology a plus.
• Ability to follow complicated, diversified instructions, take blood pressures and vital signs, and perform sterile procedures.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to work cooperatively with peers and other disciplines.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

Working Conditions:

• Visual acuity and hand dexterity required.
• Physical ability involves variety of body movements, including stooping, bending, kneeling, lifting, standing, walking, twisting, stretching, and reaching.
• Physical ability involves pushing, pulling, and lifting more than 30 lbs.
