Behavioral Health Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Behavioral Health Technician to join our team at Pyramid Healthcare Inc. As a key member of our clinical team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional care and support to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with client intake and ensure a smooth transition into our program.
- Communicate effectively with staff and clients, maintaining accurate and detailed client logs.
- Provide emotional support and maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for clients.
- Coordinate activities, including lectures, recreation, and meetings, to promote client engagement and growth.
- Conduct mandatory bed checks and maintain accurate records.
- Participate in shift change, team, and company meetings to ensure seamless communication and collaboration.
- Monitor client schedules and ensure adherence to treatment plans.
- Assist with interventions and provide input on client behavioral and emotional needs.
- Monitor medication lines and transport clients to meetings and recreation.
- Conduct searches of clients upon return to the facility and maintain a clean and organized environment.
- Monitor clients' hygiene and medical needs and uphold therapeutic boundaries.
- Evaluate client behavioral and emotional needs and provide input on treatment plans.
- Distribute client snacks as needed and train new staff on unit, program, and milieu.
- Assist with upkeep of the facility and help clients obtain a sponsor.
- Complete required trainings and mandatory training hours.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Prefer behavioral health experience or general healthcare experience
- Current CPR, AED, and First Aid certification, preferred
Technical Competencies:
- Capable of role modeling to clients
- Helps maintain a strong clinical program
- Staff able to work together to effectively meet client needs
- Maintains positive relationships with clients
- Complete required trainings and mandatory training hours
- A working knowledge of HIPAA, Licensing, DDAP, DHS, and CARF regulations
