Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our team at Platinum Dermatology Partners. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dermatology team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Escort patients to and from exam rooms, ensuring a smooth and comfortable experience.
  • Enter medical histories and prescriptions into our electronic medical record system with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Assist physicians during exams and procedures, providing support and ensuring patient safety.
  • Perform extractions, injections, and other patient procedures as needed, while maintaining a sterile environment.
  • Collect and process lab specimens, notify patients of results, and schedule follow-up appointments as required.
  • Educate patients on medical instructions, respond to questions, and provide empathetic support.
  • Document all medical instructions given to patients and maintain accurate records.
  • Organize exam rooms, prepare procedure trays, clean and autoclave instruments, and stock supplies to ensure a well-maintained environment.
Requirements
  • Certification preferred (e.g., Certified Medical Assistant, Certified Dermatology Technician).
  • Minimum two years' experience in a doctor's office, with prior dermatology experience preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Knowledge of medical dermatology terms, CPT, and ICD-10.
  • Able to demonstrate compassion, caring, and professionalism in dealing with patients and colleagues.
Work Environment

This position is based in a well-lit medical office environment, with occasional evening and weekend work. You must be able to possess the manual dexterity to operate office machines, including computers and calculators, and be able to handle files and supplies with ease.
