Elevator Technician

Wake County Public Schools is seeking a highly skilled Technical Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting elevators and chairlifts within our facilities.
Key Responsibilities:- Maintain and repair elevators and chairlifts to ensure optimal efficiency
- Provide technical guidance and assistance to less skilled employees
- Assist in the training of employees
- Respond to work orders and troubleshoot issues
- Replace faulty or defective elevators and chairlifts
- Prepare and maintain records, work logs, and reports
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ten years of experience in elevator and chairlift installation and repair
- Experience in servicing elevators and chairlifts, including software updates
- Experience with multiple elevator manufacturers
- Hold a valid Electrical License (SP-EL) and/or accredited certifications
- Factory certification by one or more elevator manufacturers
This role operates in an indoor and outdoor environment and requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent exposure to hazardous materials, gases, and chemicals.
The position requires the ability to lift up to 75 pounds and operate automotive equipment.
