Job Title: Equipment Calibration Specialist

At VIVEX Biologics, Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled Equipment Calibration Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our facilities department, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and precision of our equipment and instrumentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement calibration methods and techniques to ensure accuracy and precision.
  2. Perform technical analysis of measurement issues and determine the necessary operations to calibrate and certify equipment.
  3. Install, calibrate, repair, and replace measurement equipment and instrumentation.
  4. Develop and implement calibration procedures to expand our internal calibration program.
  5. Coordinate external calibrations and review calibration documentation for completeness and accuracy.
  6. Draft IQ/OQ protocols for equipment to ensure compliance with operational requirements.
  7. Execute IQ/OQ's and/or verifications of equipment as needed.
  8. Support the department in maintaining SOP's, Master Equipment List, Calibration Schedule, and other procedures.
  9. Assist with equipment repairs and maintenance to minimize downtime.
  10. Contribute to the upkeep of SMART metrics to improve equipment and facilities performance.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma and 1-2 years of related experience preferred.
  • PMEL, GD&T, or other recognized formal calibration training preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.

Working Conditions:

The majority of work is performed indoors, with some work in tight spaces or hard hat areas. The use of heavy machinery in enclosed areas can lead to a loud working environment.

Motor Vehicles Records (MVR) is required for insurance purposes for the use of company vehicles.

Physical Requirements:

The ability to lift boxes, equipment, and tools up to 50 lbs.

The ability to use hand trucks, pallet jacks, and hand tools required for the job.
