Job Overview

Eastridge Workforce Solutions is a prominent provider of workforce management solutions, dedicated to linking skilled professionals with significant career paths. We are seeking an Electrical Engineering Manager for our client, a company specializing in the design, manufacturing, and distribution of branded products for outdoor activities, shooting sports, and sporting goods.

Role Objective:

The primary responsibility of this position is to oversee electrical engineering functions within the organization. This includes the implementation and maintenance of policies and procedures for the design, testing, and upkeep of equipment or devices.

An individual must be capable of effectively executing the essential functions of this role with or without reasonable accommodation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage assigned projects and generate necessary documentation (specifications, storyboards, communication flow) for consumer product engineering and manufacturing development.
  • Create storyboards for iOS and Android applications to facilitate development.
  • Engage with overseas hardware and software developers regarding modifications and enhancements to hardware, app, and website products.
  • Conduct testing and troubleshooting of prototypes.
  • Research and stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends.
  • Communicate project-related issues to senior management, project teams, factories, and customers.
  • Assess equipment, staffing, and training requirements.
  • Ensure projects are adequately staffed and milestones are met.
  • Provide mentorship and professional growth opportunities to the engineering team.
  • Validate methods utilized by staff.
  • Coordinate efforts with other managers and staff members.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Fundamental knowledge of electrical engineering tools (multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.).
  • Experience with Bluetooth, Cellular, and Wi-Fi consumer products.
  • Ability to contribute creatively to product design.
  • Work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely in both oral and written forms.
  • Ability to prioritize requests and organize, schedule, and coordinate various activities and projects.
  • Willingness to work extended hours and be on-call as necessary.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint) and capable of learning required business systems.
  • Experience with Adobe Photoshop is a plus.
  • Knowledge of product design to understand the trade-offs between technical and practical requirements.
  • Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3 years of prior experience in electrical engineering management.
