Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Paramedic to join our team at Pro EMS. As a Paramedic, you will be responsible for providing emergency and non-emergency care and transportation to patients in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Determine the nature and extent of illness or injury

• Establish priority for emergency care and render appropriate emergency care

• Problem solve, remain calm, and function in unpredictable and changing circumstances

• Communicate clearly verbally, in writing, and using electronic media

• Collaborate and interact in a professional manner with other allied health and public safety personnel

• Perform all job responsibilities in a manner that protects patient privacy

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)

• Valid Driver License

• Driving record in compliance with company policy

• Current Massachusetts Paramedic certification

• CPR for Professional Rescuer/BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications

Physical Demands:

The position requires significant physical strength and dexterity and the ability to function in very adverse environments with exposure to numerous safety risks typically found at emergency scenes.

Work Environment:

When responding to emergencies, you may be exposed to dust, fumes, gases, fire, smoke, adverse weather conditions, and chemicals. You may also be exposed to body substances that may contain infectious materials that could cause illness or death. There is potential for bodily harm or death from violent patients, bystanders, or other dangers.
