Key Responsibilities
  • Project Coordination: Manage and coordinate projects with multiple team members, including other business units, to ensure timely completion and adherence to budgetary and timeline constraints.
  • Technical Services: Provide technical guidance and direction to surveying technicians, ensuring that projects are completed to the highest standards.
  • Survey Planning: Prepare Boundary and Topographic survey plans and agreements, ensuring compliance with client and company policies and standards.
  • Survey Computations: Perform survey computations and boundary resolution for Boundary and ALTA Surveys, and Topographic Surveys.
  • Construction Layout: Prepare Construction Layout and As-Built Surveys, Right-of-Way Surveys, and various other project types.
Requirements
  • Professional License: Possess a NY Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license, or be able to obtain within one year.
  • Experience: Have 5+ years of professional surveying experience.
  • Education: Hold a Bachelor's degree in surveying, civil engineering, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Have experience with Mapping software (Civil 3D, Carlson, inroads, etc.) and strong knowledge of surveying principles, techniques, and equipment.
  • Communication Skills: Possess good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to read and interpret design/construction plans.
  • Project Management: Have the ability to manage multiple projects and project teams, develop project scope and fee estimating, and maintain a current driver's license in good standing.
