Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional to join our team at Friendship Community Care. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in providing support and care to individuals with disabilities, enabling them to live independently and participate fully in their communities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist clients with daily living skills, including personal care, meal preparation, and household management.
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with clients, their families, and other stakeholders.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement individualized care plans.
• Provide transportation and accompany clients to appointments and activities as needed.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of client interactions, progress, and any concerns.
• Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or specialized training in a related field preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license; willingness to drive company vehicles as needed.
• Ability to lift, bend, and move with clients as required; physical stamina to perform duties in a fast-paced environment.
• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to HIPAA guidelines.
