Outdoor Education Program Coordinator

Overview:

We are in search of a dedicated Outdoor Education Program Coordinator to enhance our offerings. This seasonal role focuses on creating and executing an engaging ropes course initiative for young participants. If you are passionate about outdoor learning and thrive in an energetic environment with youth, this position may be ideal for you.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the safety and welfare of all participants during ropes course sessions.
  • Design and deliver interactive and age-appropriate activities for children aged 7-14.
  • Oversee the maintenance of equipment and the integrity of the course to meet safety regulations.
  • Engage in necessary training sessions to improve skills and knowledge.

Required Qualifications:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  • Experience working with diverse groups of youth is advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
  • Capability to secure certification for ropes course facilitation.

Physical Demands:

This position necessitates physical stamina, the ability to work outdoors under various conditions, and the capacity to lift up to 50 lbs. Candidates should be comfortable with extended periods of standing, walking, and climbing.
