Job Title: Dental Assistant II

Sea Mar Community Health Centers is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant II to join our team in Seattle, WA.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to provide exceptional support to our dental providers in a fast-paced clinical environment. As a Dental Assistant II, you will be responsible for assisting with various dental procedures, including diagnostic, preventative, restorative, and surgical services. You will also provide patient education, obtain vital signs, and assist with insurance pre-authorizations and patient eligibility verification.

Responsibilities:
  • Assist dental providers with chair-side procedures, including four-handed dentistry technique
  • Provide patient education and instructions on dental procedures and care
  • Obtain accurate blood pressure readings and other vital signs as directed by dental providers
  • Assist with insurance pre-authorizations and patient eligibility verification
  • Coordinate training of new employees and dental trainees
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • Completed formal Dental Assistant program at a College, Technical Institute, or equivalent
  • Minimum 6 months of work experience in a dental assistant position
  • Registered with the Washington State Department of Health
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR certification within 90 days of hire date
