Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Fleet Mechanic III to join our team at Voyig. As a senior-level mechanic, you will be responsible for providing safe, reliable, and cost-efficient vehicles by performing quality preventive maintenance inspections and repairs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment within planned time tolerances to maximize safety, reliability, and cost efficiency.
  • Conduct FAI/CVI inspections on all fleet vehicles, including tractors, trailers, and light-duty vehicles, in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Perform quality preventive maintenance inspections and repairs on all fleet vehicles, including refrigeration units, lift-gates, and other company-owned equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair complex issues with diesel engines, transmissions, and other vehicle systems.
  • Mentor and train junior mechanics to aid in their development and advancement within the company.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Current and valid driver's license (CDL A preferred).
  • Medium/Heavy Duty truck technical training and 2 years of experience, or 5 years of experience in fleet maintenance and repair.
  • Certifications in brake inspection, annual inspection, and EPA section 608 (Core & Type II) and 609 HVAC & Refrigeration.
Working Conditions

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with moderate noise levels and occasional exposure to wet, hot, and humid conditions. The position requires the ability to stand, sit, walk, bend, and reach, as well as lift and carry up to 100 pounds.
