Job Summary:

Sysco is seeking a skilled Diesel Fleet Technician II to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and reliability of our fleet by performing quality preventive maintenance inspections and repairs.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks on diesel-powered vehicles, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
  • Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify potential issues and recommend repairs.
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with diesel engines, transmissions, and other vehicle systems.
  • Work with senior technicians to develop and implement maintenance schedules and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of maintenance tasks and minimize downtime.

Requirements:

  • 2-year degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in heavy-duty truck maintenance and repair.
  • ASE certifications in diesel engines and transmissions.
  • Knowledge of computer-based diagnostic software and ability to learn new systems.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
