Sysco is seeking a skilled Diesel Fleet Technician II to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and reliability of our fleet by performing quality preventive maintenance inspections and repairs.
Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance tasks on vehicles and equipment, including inspections, repairs, and replacements of parts.
- Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with vehicles and equipment, including engines, transmissions, and electrical systems.
- Conduct quality control checks on all maintenance work performed to ensure compliance with company standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with other maintenance team members to ensure efficient and effective maintenance operations.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest maintenance techniques and technologies to ensure the highest level of service.
- Medium/Heavy Duty truck technical training
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 2-year school and 1 year of experience or 3 years of experience in fleet maintenance and repair
- Current and valid driver's license
- ASE certifications; Automotive or Medium/Heavy Duty Trucks (Preferred, Not Required)
The Diesel Fleet Technician II will work in a fast-paced maintenance environment, with frequent exposure to mechanical equipment and tools. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
