Radiology Technologist PRN Position

We are seeking a skilled Radiology Technologist PRN to join our team at Heart Hospital of Austin. As a key member of our Imaging Services department, you will provide technical assistance to physicians and contribute to the efficient operation of our diagnostic and interventional procedures.
Responsibilities- Perform radiological and interventional procedures in a timely manner, documenting required information and communicating with primary physicians and direct care staff.
- Coordinate and assist patient care in collaboration with radiology technologists, physicians, nurses, and allied health staff.
- Evaluate patient conditions to perform radiological and interventional exams, inform and explain procedures to patients, and provide comprehensive direct patient care.
- Consult with staff as necessary to meet patient needs, ensure availability of clinical equipment and supplies, and possess knowledge of patient growth and development across the lifespan.
- Perform Point of Care procedures according to established policy and procedure, documenting required information and complying with quality control standards.
- Demonstrate proficiency with equipment in the Interventional Suite procedure room, including fluoro, pan table, Med Rad injector, monitors, and control panels.
- Associate degree in radiology from a Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT) accredited program or equivalent.
- Current Medical Radiologic Technologist certification with the Texas Medical Board (TMB) and radiology registration with the American Registry of Radiological Technologists (ARRT)/Registered Radiologic Technologist RT(R).
- Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
