Metropolitan Veterinary Associates (MVA) is a distinguished facility that prioritizes the well-being of both its employees and the animals we serve. We are currently seeking a dedicated Veterinary Technician to enhance our Anesthesia Department. This role requires a minimum of three years of experience in veterinary nursing with a focus on anesthesia monitoring.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administer and monitor anesthesia for various procedures.
- Collaborate with board-certified anesthesiologists to ensure optimal patient care.
- Utilize a comprehensive understanding of small animal medicine, including pharmacology and laboratory testing.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members, both verbally and in writing.
- Maintain a calm demeanor while working in a fast-paced environment.
- Implement Fear Free handling techniques to ensure stress-free interactions.
Qualifications:
- Current CVT/LVT/RVT certification or equivalent education.
- Experience with both critical and non-critical cases is preferred.
Work Schedule:
Mid shift: Wednesday through Saturday, 2 PM - 12 AM.
