Clinical Pharmacist

As a Clinical Pharmacist - Acute Care Specialist at Penn State Health, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and expertise in acute care settings. Your primary responsibility will be to dispense medications, provide information to patients about medications, and advise physicians and other health practitioners on the selection, dosage, interactions, and side effects of medications. You will also be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and quality of medication dispensing, as well as maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. Responsibilities:
Dispense medications to patients in accordance with prescriptions and medical orders
Provide information to patients about medications, including their use, potential side effects, and interactions with other medications
Advise physicians and other health practitioners on the selection, dosage, interactions, and side effects of medications
Ensure the accuracy and quality of medication dispensing
Maintain a safe and efficient work environment
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or PharmD degree in pharmacy required
Current PA licensure to practice as a pharmacist or license eligibility required
