ABOUT THIS ROLE

The Culinary Service Associate position is available at various educational institutions.

The Culinary Service Associate is responsible for a range of tasks including food service and assisting in the preparation of meals according to established standards and compliance with relevant food service regulations.

This role involves interacting with students, educators, and parents, providing exceptional customer service while embodying the values of Genuine Foods. Opportunities to develop culinary skills and advance within the organization are available.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure all meals served meet the quality standards of Genuine Foods while adhering to food safety protocols.
  • Serve meals to students and staff with enthusiasm and a positive demeanor.
  • Collaborate with team members to guarantee timely meal preparation and service.
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in all work areas.
  • Organize and stock kitchen and serving areas for efficient service.
  • Promptly report any issues to the Site Lead or Manager on duty.
  • Carry out additional tasks as assigned by supervisors.
REQUIREMENTS

  • Must be adaptable and work well in a team environment.
  • Previous experience in food service or customer service in a high-volume setting is preferred.
  • Willingness to learn about compliance with food service regulations.
  • A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Punctuality and adherence to attendance policies are essential.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs and navigate stairs.
  • Commitment to the mission of Genuine Foods to enhance students' well-being through nutritious meals.
  • Must be comfortable working in an educational environment with children in grades K-12.
